Job Description: Riskline is seeking candidates for a Junior Analyst vacancy on its Asia-Pacific (APAC) team, which covers regional and global developments in politics, security and travel. Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background or professional experience in politics, government, international relations, security studies or regional studies. Candidates must have excellent analytical, writing and editing skills and be able to work under short deadlines and with little direct supervision. Regional language skills are highly valued.
The successful candidate will be offered a remote work contract, with a set schedule, typically local business hours for five consecutive days with a two-day break; work on Saturday and Sunday may be required. The role involves daily monitoring and reporting on political and security developments worldwide as well as supporting regional analysis for country- and city-specific security threats.
Desired Skills & Experience: This role requires the ability to think critically and produce high-quality long and short written reports in British (UK) English under tight deadlines. The candidate will be able to analyse complex situations and evaluate the risks they may pose to our clients to provide them with clear and concise information and advice. The position requires the candidate to manage time effectively, work under pressure and accept peer review.
